Those who cross conflicts

A profile shows who is involved in one conflict. Side by side, something no single profile shows appears: some actors are in several wars at once. Estados Unidos appears in 15 of the 20 conflicts we track.

What this list is

Each actor is recorded by hand in the profile of the conflict where they appear, with the role they play there. The same actor may play different roles in different conflicts, and that is how it is shown. No links between actors are derived automatically: what is published is what someone wrote into a profile.

What it is not

Sharing a conflict does not mean being on the same side — in most cases it means precisely the opposite. In the network, a line means that actor is listed in that profile — presence, not alliance — which is why no line ever joins two actors to each other: nobody wrote that link. Being here implies no responsibility for anything either: that is what each profile says, with its source.
