International Affairs Watch researches, monitors and analyses armed conflicts and international crises. It is a nonprofit civil association: the conflict files, the global monitor and the methodology are open to everyone, and contributions sustain the data, verification and editorial work behind them.

Where the money goes
What a contribution funds
Each contribution goes to one of these three lines of work. Giving does not buy early access to content or a say in editorial decisions: the monitor and the files stay open to everyone.
- Data infrastructure: source ingestion, verification and evidence archiving.
- Editorial work: human review of briefings, severity assessment and ES/EN translation.
- Open access: the monitor and dossiers remain free for everyone.
Institutions and companies
Institutional partnerships and sponsorship
We work with universities, foundations, civil-society organisations and companies interested in sustaining specific lines of work. Four forms, one point of contact.
Editorial sponsors
Funding for thematic reports — for example, a policy paper on energy in the Sahel — with explicit attribution. Content is decided by the editorial team; a contribution grants no part in that decision.
Institutional donations
One-off or recurring contributions directed to data infrastructure, editorial work or methodological development of the Conflict Severity Index.
Partnerships with think tanks and universities
Co-publication of papers, CSI data exchange, joint workshops and student access to the monitoring console.
Pro bono services
Law firms, design agencies, hosting providers or analytics tools that want to contribute their services. We list them publicly as partners.
A short form: institution, type of collaboration and a brief description. We reply within the week.
Rules
Independence and transparency
- No contribution buys early access to content or a say in editorial decisions.
- Conclusions, methodology and the selection of conflicts are set by the editorial team, with no input from funders.
- Once a year we publish all funding sources above USD 500, with the donor's name, amount and purpose.
Contributions are not tax-deductible for the donor: the association is not part of Argentina's deductible-donations regime. The association's own income-tax exemption is being processed by ARCA; we will update this page when it is resolved.
